Heavy Metal and the Occult: From Black Sabbath to Ghost
Overly concerned parents and holier than thou church leaders have been up in arms about Heavy Metal since Black Sabbath released their first album in 1970, but just how friendly are Heavy Metal and the occult? We'll begin our journey with Lucifer's first rock and roll children Coven and Black Widow in the late 1960's before spending some time with Ozzy and the boys. From there we'll venture out into the realms of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and King Diamond. We'll also talk about the ongoing Occult Rock Revival and why Heavy Metal still rules in 2019. Be prepared to bang your head, up the irons, and flash those metal horns!
